Accountant / Business Analyst

This role will initiate and lead strategies to improve internal procedures while participating with the management team. This will be accomplished through: compiling and interpreting production and financial information; analyzing operational variance and providing results and improvement recommendations to the management team; as well as financial accounting and reporting.

Qualified candidates will bring their functional expertise and initiative to produce desired results. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Accounting as well as at least 7-10 years' experience required. Candidates with contracts and general business law experience given special consideration.

Laborers

BelGioioso is accepting applications for these physically demanding and fast-paced positions. Laborers are responsible for producing, aging and packaging speciality cheese products. We are looking for an acute attention to details as well as the ability to consistently follow standard production, sanitation, quality and safety procedures.

Ideal candidates will offer a working knowledge of cheese production, sanitation, quality and safety regulations. Candidates must be self-motivated, high energy individuals with an unyielding commitment to producting a quality product. A stable work history, including dependability and an excellent attendance record are required. The ability to repetitively lift up to 60 pounds is also required. High school diploma/GED required with a post-high school education preferred. Mechanical ability a plus.

Maintenance Manager

The primary function of this position will be to ensure a multi-plant team of mechanics provides high-quality installation, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of facility machinery.

The ideal candidate will provide proven working knowledge of maintenance related production, sanitation, quality and safety regulations, and offer well developed supervisory skills. This would normally be obtained through a minimum of 5+ years of related work experience and career progression. The ideal candidate will offer an engineering degree. Candidates with multiple plant, preventative maintenance, and milk/cheese manufacturing plant experience are highly preferred.

Microbiologist

The primary function of this position is to ensure our entire line of cheeses maintain our expected high levels of quality for color, texture, taste and odor. This is accomplished through providing expertise and guidance in microbiological testing and interpretation, testing raw ingredients used in production, and assisting in research and development.

Qualified candidates will offer a bachelors degree in Dairy Microbiology. We are looking for an individual with an acute attention to detail, the ability to notice subtle differences and imperfections in ingredients and cheese products, as well as the ability to proactively seek resolution when test results do not meet BelGioioso's strict quality standards. This would normally be obtained through related industry work experience and career progression. Candidates with milk/cheese industry experience are highly preferred.

Production Supervisors

The primary function of this position is to ensure quality cheeses are consistently made within BelGioioso's strict quality, operational, and safety standards. This is accomplished through providing expertise and guidance in the following areas:

Coordinating all activities relating to ensuring that the department is operational including manufacturing and regulatory compliance.
Effectively leading and developing department employees.
Making recommendations to improve productivity, quality and efficiency of operations.

The ideal candidate will provide proven working knowledge of cheese production, sanitation, quality and safety regulations, and offer well developed supervisory skills. A current cheese makers license is required. Special consideration will be given to candidates with a post high school degree or certification.

We are looking for a highly qualified self-starter with the ability to effectively lead a department, proactively seek resolution when production is not within BelGioioso's strict standards, as well as the ability to develop into a future plant leader. This would normally be obtained through a minimum of 5+ years of direct industry experience and career progression. Candidates with specialty cheese experience are highly preferred.

Quality Assurance Technicians

The primary function of this position is to ensure quality cheeses are made within food safety standards. This is accomplished through providing expertise and guidance in the following:

Implementation of HACCP, food safety, quality, and other related programs. This includes program development and facilitating company-wide training.
Conducting internal audits, performing sampling and analytical tests on raw ingredients, product, water, bi-products and environmental samples for compliance to ensure a consistent quality product is produced.

Third-party audits.
Performing laboratory technician duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will provide proven working knowledge of HACCP, Good Manufacturing Procedures, Sanitation, regulatory compliance and plant auditing. A bachelor's degree in microbiology, dairy or food science is preferred. Special consideration will be given to individuals with a SQF certification.

We are looking for an individual with an acute attention to detail, the ability to notice subtle differences and imperfections in ingredients and cheese products, as well as the ability to proactively seek resolution when test results do not meet BelGioioso's strict quality standards. This would normally be obtained through a minimum of 3-5 years of related work experience and career progression. Candidates with quality department experience in the dairy industry are highly preferred.

Cheese Quality Grader

This critical position will have primary responsibility for ensuring the consistency of product quality by testing and inspecting raw ingredients and products at various stages of production and aging. This will be accomplished by developing and implementing procedures to collect and test raw ingredients and product samples for a variety of qualities: taste, flavor intensity, texture, color, odor, performance and consistency.

The successful candidate will offer the following abilities:

To carefully evaluate cheese with a discerning palate as well as the ability to articulate findings.
To proactively raise the flag when ingredients or products do not meet BelGioioso's strict quality standards.
To obtain in-depth knowledge of BelGioioso's product line.

This is a truly unique opportunity for the specialty cheese lover with a fine-tuned talent to professionally taste and evaluate food. While an understanding of food science and/or microbiology may be useful, a scientist is not what we are searching for.
