Whey Plant Manager
The primary responsibility of the Whey Plant Manager is effectively manage a 24/7 mid-sized whey processing facility producing whey products within expected Key Performance Indicators. These include, but not limited to: product quality, food safety, production efficiency, and safety expectations.
The primary responsibility of the Industrial Mechanic is to provide high-quality installation, repair, troubleshooting and diagnosis of various food processing and packaging equipment. Industrial Mechanics also complete preventative maintenance assignments and respond to line and equipment calls. All duties are performed while adhering to our high expectations for producing a superior quality product and maintaining operational efficiency, as well as food safety/quality and safety standards.
Qualified candidates will offer milk processing equipment maintenance experience as well as a minimum of 3 years' work experience in at least one of the following areas: electrical equipment repair/electronics, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, relays, motor control logic, schematic/drawings interpretation, and fabricating stainless steel. Candidates who offer experience with AC/DC variable speed drives, control systems PLC programming, and knowledge of NEC will be given special consideration. Candidates with an Electro-mechanical Associates degree are preferred.
In addition, we seek a candidate with solid communication and team work skills as well as a self-starter with a passion for continuous improvement. Manual dexterity is required for operating machinery/tools as well as the ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
Technical Manager - Product Development
The primary responsibilities of this position are to ensure our entire line of cheeses consistently maintain our expected high levels of quality for taste, texture, color and odor. This individual will be responsible for refining and perfecting our existing cheese recipes, as well as assisting in the development of new cheeses. This will be accomplished by:
Analyzing and interpreting cheese samples and ingredients.
Conducting independent research and laboratory trials.
Interacting with cheesemakers and production management about findings and ideas.
Proactively raising the flag when ingredients or products do not meet BelGioioso's strict quality standards.
Assisting with the implementation of successful laboratory trials to full scale cheese production.
To successfully achieve the expectations of the role, qualified candidates are required to offer: strong laboratory skills including documentation, proven effective communication skills with all levels of personnel required, as well as Bachelor's degree in Dairy Microbiology, Dairy Science or Food Science combined with strong cheese related experience. In addition, a highly motivated individual with an unyielding commitment to quality and attention to detail, combined with superior analytical skills are the leadership qualities required for success in this position.
