Industrial Mechanic (Float)
The primary responsibility of the Industrial Mechanic is to provide high-quality installation, repair, troubleshooting, diagnosis of various food processing and packaging equipment, and completion of preventative maintenance assignments for multiple facilities. Candidates will also need to have the ability to work multiple shifts, remain flexible for coverage while plant is not operating, “On-call” coverage, as well as any vacation time that is requested. All duties are performed while adhering to our high expectations for producing a superior quality product and maintaining operational efficiency, as well as food safety/quality and safety standards.
Qualified candidates will offer a minimum of 3 years’ work experience in at least one of the following areas: electrical equipment repair/electronics, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, relays, motor control logic, schematic/drawings interpretation, and fabricating stainless steel to food safety standards. Food manufacturing experience preferred. Candidtaes must also have high ethical standards, sound technical skills, analytical ability, sound judgment, strong operational focus, effective communicator with a drive for results, an open-mindedness to new ideas, and ability to follow instructions and work effectively under deadlines. Candidates who offer experience with evaporators and the whey drying process will be given special consideration.
