Ingredients

  • 8 oz. BelGioioso Ricotta con Latte® cheese
  • Fresh basil, torn into small pieces
  • 6 oz. prosciutto, cubed
  • 1/4 cup grated BelGioioso American Grana® cheese, plus extra for garnish
  • 2 eggs, divided
  • 1 homemade or prepared pizza dough
  • All-purpose flour, for surface
  • 4 slices BelGioioso Mild Provolone Cheese

Directions

Preheat oven to 375°F. In a medium-sized bowl, combine BelGioioso Ricotta con Latte®, basil, prosciutto, BelGioioso American Grana®, and 1 egg; stir until filling is well combined. Set aside.

Roll dough into thin circles onto a lightly floured surface. Fill each circle with the filling mixture. Top with BelGioioso Mild Provolone and fold over, securing edges by folding in and pressing with a fork. Brush the top of each calzone with beaten egg and top with BelGioioso American Grana®. Place on a lightly greased baking sheet and bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until done. Slice and serve hot.
